We are wrapping up our series on the early church, where we reflected on the events of Pentecost and how the movement of the Spirit led to the formation of the early churches. One of the hallmarks of this early church was its inclusivity. This inclusivity mirrors how Jesus Christ reached out to all kinds of people and touched their lives with his grace.
This Sunday we will reflect on the story of how a person who was excluded from the traditional religious community, found acceptance and belonging through coming to know Jesus Christ in his life. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to reach out to all people, sharing that grace and inviting them to join us in community. As we gather together, may we be a living example of what God’s kingdom looks like.
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday. Who do you know who does not have a church home? Why not invite them to join you in worship.
Yours in Christ,
