Weekly Message from the Pastor - July 13, 2018

July 13, 2018

Dear Friends,

Summertime often brings a different rhythm to our lives; perhaps a less hectic pace. We often find time to get away. Perhaps we spend more time outdoors. I hope that we enjoy this different pace; using it to refresh and renew our souls.

If you are traveling, may you travel safely. While we anticipate our destination with great excitement, let’s also enjoy the journey. Will your travels bring you outdoors, enjoying God’s creation? Will you find yourself in a far-off country, experiencing a different culture? Maybe you’ll enjoy the company of family and/or friends who you don’t get to see regularly. Or perhaps, you’ll enjoy the blessings of your home through a staycation.

Wherever we find ourselves, we are always in the presence of God; so may we give thanks that God is with us. May we be gracious, even when faced with the challenges of travel – or people. Wherever we are and whoever we are with, amid whatever might happen, we remain ambassadors of Jesus’ grace.

I look forward to this coming week spending time with family along the coast of Rhode Island. You will be blessed as Brian Maceyak and Joe Hepler bring the messages, the next two Sundays. You will continue in my prayers.

Yours in Christ,

PS – Vacation Bible School runs from Monday, July 23rd through Friday, July 27th; from 9:00am to noon each day. Please sign-up to provide food items, or to help during the week. We have had a good response to registration, yet there is still room for more attendees. Are there families in your neighborhood whose children might enjoy attending? Why not drop off a flyer to their home?
