This Sunday, we continue the series, “2019 - The Best Year Ever,” by reflecting on having a new mindset. We think thousands of thoughts every day. Of those thoughts, 95% are exactly the same repetitive thoughts as the day before. Could it be that we are in a bit of a rut?
The Apostle Paul understood how our relationship with Jesus Christ enables us to experience a new mindset. If we look at history, we see how a new mindset can lead to great discoveries and innovations in music, art, science, mathematics, exploration, and human understanding.
As people of faith, how are we allowing our relationship with Jesus Christ to foster a new mindset? A new mindset which can awaken us to think more creatively, to reflect more deeply on what is happening in our lives and in the world, and to recognize new possibilities? What innovation might we discover for how we are to serve Jesus Christ in the world?
I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday. I want to thank all of you who registered to attend the Bi-District training tomorrow at Floris UMC. It demonstrates a commitment to learning best practices in serving God, as you serve at Buckhall.
Yours in Christ,
